How to use WEBITEACH? - Moderator side
MOBITEACH integrates a videoconferencing tool allowing the moderator to communicate with the participants in audio and video and to share his screen.
The different functions available with WEBITEACH:
For the moderator
deactivate participants' microphones
create workshops or discussion groups
provide a collaborative writing pad
For participants
ask for the floor
For everyone
activate / deactivate his microphone and / or his camera
share his screen
use a collaborative writing pad (see dedicated article)
LAUNCH WEBITEACH
When connecting to MOBITEACH, a browser window asks for authorization to use the microphone and the camera: you must click on Authorize to be able to launch WEBITEACH subsequently.
To launch WEBITEACH, the moderator opens the WEBITEACH panel by clicking on the headphones icon located on the tool bar to the right of his screen, then clicks on Join.
When Webiteach is launched, only the audio features are active, the moderator activates or deactivates his microphone and that of the participants by clicking on the micro icon present next to the name of the participants.
To display the webcams of the participants and access the screen sharing feature, the moderator launches Webicam by clicking on the mosaic icon. cf. detailed explanations in the dedicated section below.
To close the WEBITEACH panel, all you have to do is click again on the headphones icon.
MANAGE PARTICIPANTS
The list of participants connected to WEBITEACH is displayed in the open pane on the right of the screen. For each participant:
an indication specifies if the microphone is activated or not and allows the moderator to deactivate it if necessary
an Attention icon indicates possible problems with the detection of the microphone or the camera
the Main green icon indicates that the participant wishes to speak. The moderator clicks on it to make it disappear.
DISPLAY PARTICIPANTS' WEBCAMS
To display the webcams of the participants and access the screen sharing functionality, the moderator launches Webicam by clicking on the mosaic icon with the 4 squares.
All the participants and the moderator watch the videos from the connected webcams.
Using the buttons on their video (area 1 of the image above), the moderator and the participants:
a. see if their microphone is activated or not (to activate or deactivate his microphone the moderator uses the microphone icon present near his name in the MOBITEACH pane on the right of the screen)
b. activate / deactivate their camera
c. change the camera used if multiple webcams are available
d. share their screen
e. minimize the viewing window of their video.
To display a participant's video in full screen in his interface, the moderator clicks on the button located at the bottom right of the video concerned (see number 2 on the image of the WEBICAM interface above).
SHARE YOUR SCREEN
When WEBICAM is active, to share his screen, the moderator clicks on the Screen sharing icon present in the viewing window of his video, at the bottom left of the screen.
A window then opens to ask to choose what he wants to share:
or his entire screen (he can choose between any connected screens if he uses more than one)
or a window of a specific application
or a specific tab of the browser
To end the sharing, the moderator clicks on the Stop button at the bottom of his screen.
Note: For their part, participants can share their screen in the same way as the moderator. In addition, multiple screens can be shared simultaneously
CREATE WORKSHOPS
WEBITEACH offers the possibility of creating workshops or discussion groups. For it :
the moderator creates as many workshops as he wishes by clicking on the workshop button
he selects one or more participants and places them in the desired workshop by clicking on Transfer here
The name of the workshop can be modified by clicking on the Crayon icon located to the right of the workshop.
To communicate with the participants of a workshop, the moderator transfers to this workshop: he selects his name in the list of WEBITEACH participants and clicks on the Transfer here of the workshop where he wishes to go.
